I am currently on vacation in South Carolina so what better way to spend the day than to check out the local grocery stores and coupon. My fiance and I went to Bi-Lo, Harris Teeter, and Publix. The best experience that we had was at Bi-Lo. Pulling in to the parking lot we weren’t even sure if the store was open. There was barely anyone in the parking lot and that was odd considering Publix was packed when we stopped there. It turned out to be great that there was no one there because that gave me a chance to ask the store manager a ton of questions. I had already researched the store ahead of time searching for deals, but I was still unsure of how their coupon policy worked in regards to accepting competitor’s coupons and their coupon doubling policy. The manager was super helpful and explained that they would double coupons, but that there was a limit of 10 coupons doubling per transaction. I had been unaware of this limit heading into the store so I began to get worried. The manager then told me that although there was a limit on the number of coupons, there was no limit on the number of transactions. Score!
We grabbed a cart and searched the store for the deals that I had already found out about from Couponing by the Sea. Trying to research deals on the stores here in South Carolina was more difficult than I thought it would be. Couponing by the Sea was the only website that I could find that actually listed the final price of the item so thank you so much to Karla at Couponing by the Sea. This post may not have happened without her. While we were picking up deals, we were approached by two shoppers who wanted to know how we were able to score such deals. Of course I explained how and they seemed really excited about saving money. It seemed like couponers were admired here. Yay! The shelves were completely stocked here which was a big difference from Ohio.
