Welcome to Give Freely!
One in five Americans deals daily with the issue of not having enough to eat. Many of those are children. As couponers, we have the unique opportunity to buy items at extremely reduced prices (or even free) to feed our families.
The goal is Give Freely is to present you each week with freebies or near freebies from your local grocery stores. Because these items are so inexpensive we are hoping that you will spend the extra few cents to pick up a spare item to donate to your community center, church, local food bank or shelter.
If you are a blogger who does deals for a supermarket not on this list and would be interested in participating, please send Laura an e-mail!

One of the reasons that I began couponing was to give back to the community. Every few months, I find a charity that is in need of items that I have in my stockpile. I then load up a box or two full of items and drop them off at the charity. This post will be the first in a series that will highlight different charities that are in need of supplies. When you are looking at your stockpiles, please keep in mind the different charities that could benefit from having some of the items in your stockpile. If you have any of the items the Domestic Violence & Child Advocacy Center (DVCAC) is looking for please donate. If you do not live close enough to the DVCAC, please consider donating to another domestic violence center in your area.
What is the Domestic Violence & Child Advocacy Center?
“The Domestic Violence & Child Advocacy Center (DVCAC) is an agency which provides prevention, education, intervention, advocacy services, and leadership to the community on issues of child abuse and domestic violence.”
From the DVCAC website.

- Baby wipes
- Socks (adult, toddler, and infant)
- Feminine hygiene products (especially pads)
